The Ronald McDonald Family Room Program extends the comfort of a Ronald McDonald House to a hospital setting. Typically located just steps from neonatal or pediatric intensive care units, the Ronald McDonald Family Room provides a place to escape the stress and tension of the hospital. Ronald McDonald Family Rooms may include a shared kitchen, dining area, lounge and bathroom facilities, and sometimes include overnight bedrooms, showers, laundry facilities, computers and a quiet room.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room Program allows for the services of a Ronald McDonald House to be enjoyed by out of town families, as well as families who live nearby. Each Ronald McDonald Family Room in Canada is built on a partnership between the local hosting hospital, Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Canada.

There will be a Ronald McDonald Family Room on the 6th Floor of the new Children's Hospital at the London Health Sciences Centre scheduled to open in 2011.
